Cabo here I come, but now what?

Flying down to Cabo July 5 for about a week. Does anyone have any suggestions about the best place to rent a car?

I hae had some problems in the past with car rental companies dinging me for every ding etc.

Thanks

I have used Dollar at the airport many times but in the last few years they are in the "rip off" mode as like the others. Do you have to have a rental car? get a shuttle/taxi to town then walk or taxi as needed.

You should have come to La Paz. Both places charge too much for car rentals, but La Paz has a much better waterfront for walking and the city has some history behind it. Maybe next time.

Be careful! Maybe secure before leaving? God knows, a travel agent?? I'll stir it up---your own autoinsurance should cover you! Check them out, thorougly! Good Luck.

When I have rented in Cabo I do a walk around with the rental agent and have him point to ANY flaws in the car as I photograph them. Heck, I do this in the States too. Ends any question as to who did the damage.

Oh and in Cabo the Taxi's are incredibly expensive! MUCH cheaper to rent a car if you plan on moving around the area much.

I have always used Avis when in Cabo. Has seemed like the best buy and no hassles. Very handy as well. Pays to do a good walk around, but the Avis guys have never been a problem

You can hang out (upside down) in Cabo for a day or two at the Giggling Marlin and drink tequila. Or rent a car and head north or east.
