Same here. Drove through last week. Didn't even see a cop. I've had really good luck avoiding "the man" there for about a year now. Prior to that it was a bit ridiculous.

Thanks for the Info. Heading North next week. Will post comments, if any, on the trip. Intend to cross at Tecate and have fm2 & fm3 processed for exit.

I don't think anybody does that for land travel.

Well, I am a bit concerned about how close they will watch the cards instead of the book and wonder if my US passport is enough to show presence in the US for Medicare coverage

Marinero,
My wife and I have driven North a couple times where she has to get processed out because she will fly back. Last two times she got it done in Santa Rosalia, close to where the ferry comes in. Please write in and let us know how crossing, parking, and walking back works out in Tecate. We are heading North in a couple weeks.

I don't think you have to go through all that to qualify for Medicare in the US. Should be the same as SS.....of course, the way things are going........

Drove through this past Friday, no problems at all. There are street lights that are turned off but you need to stop anyway. On another topic Insurgentes has a new Ley grocery store that is well stocked. You can't miss it on the west side of town. Apparently it opened 3 months ago.
