"Good Dog" requires a ride home to Rosarito from Guerro Negro

Hola, It is a long story on how our dog (Einstein, he was named that from the shelter/rescue group) is still in Guerro Negro after our car broke down 60 miles north of there almost four weeks ago. Actually, the story has a way in which the 'universe' can show a sense of humor on what one plans to do. LOL anyway - the car is still not fixed, however, it was towed to Rosarito and we are looking for the right and perfect motor (Subaru 2.5 liter engine) - if you know of one, please let me know.

The question is: do you know anyone going north (Rosarito) from Baja Sur that can stop in Guerro Negro and give our dog ' a ride home?' He's good natured, calm, and mostly obeys simple commands. He weighs about 65 pounds and will stay "in the back" when you tell him "stay" - If you can 'bring him home' - we would gladly help out on your gas expenses. All he needs is a couple of times to go for a short walk to do his normal body functions. He will have his food and water bowls along with his bed - and, he is an experienced traveler.

Please pass this email forward to anyone you think who can help give "him a ride home."

I look forward to hearing from you and wish you a wonderful day.

Hola y gracias - He is staying with "Perla"- a very nice person who offered to take care of him. She works during the day at "Los Carracoles" (615 1571088) - which is located near the beginning of the town. It is across the road from the new Pemex. I should add that it is a very nice, clean hotel with helpful people

Since I am new here, I am not exactly sure what "u2u' means, I guess that is chat?

Thanks for your help and I look forward to hearing from you.

Mil gracias, Richard

hi Richard, u2u is a private email and you can see it at the bottom of anyone's post. click on it and you can send a personal ie not public note to individuals.

I will let you know in a while if our friend Pancho can take your pooch with him tomorrow .... is there any way you can meet him in Ensenada (his destination) either tomorrow night or tuesday morning ?

Is that number Perla's cell phone or landline ?

I am working on arranging transportation to Ensenada. What would be the estimated time of arrival for Pancho Monday night?

Does Pancho speak english? If not, it should NOT be a problem - my wife speaks fluent Spanish. I can U2U with our phone numbers.

Thank you so much for your help.

NOTE: the engine is disassembled - you could say fried. SO - new/used engine and/or another vehicle. However, I like the Isuzu Amigo and the Rodeo Sport (3 door) - preferably with four cylinders.

still waiting, I went by his house, he wasnt home but I left a note, I called cell number and it is "off" ... I sent him a msg via his grandson - all we can do it WAIT :(

I do have your number and I will call when I have an update. I imagine they will leave about 6 a.m. and that would get them in at around 4 or 5 p.m. your time.

Any luck getting at getting a ride to ensenada that evening ?
