Turtle Bay Diesel fuel?
Just wondering if anyone knows if Turtle Bay has had a reliable supply of diesel fuel for boats. We're planning on going through there next week and
heard a rumor that they had been out.

Caveat emptor
Once was enough.
Several years ago I bought some contaminated fuel at Turtle Bay. If it wasn't for the Mexican navy towing me to San Quintin I would have lost my boat.

If they don't have it on hand, they will get it. It just might take a while.

Used to be a guy named Gordo who sold diesel off the pier to the yachties travelling north & south. There were always stories both good & bad
about his service and fuel quality. That was quite a while ago, but Turtle Bay is really the only place for them to fuel up on west coast of Baja, so
I imagine there is at least one guy still there offering that service. Hopefully someone with more recent knowledge will chime in here.
Pre-filtering your fuel as it goes into your tank is always a good idea.

I agree with Elcap.
I've been on the pier several times when yachties pulled up to purchase diesel. My brother-in-law ahs also done it about a dozen times.

A friend stopped in there about 2 weeks ago en route South. Got about 25 Gallons of diesel at the dock for his sailboat, no problem.

Bahía Tortugas
Rudy, it's out near the tip of Baja's big hook, half-way down:

Thanks for all the info. As you can see I'm new to the forum and I guess this is the right place to ask. If the weather holds and Dora doesn't
suddenly do anything squirely we should be fishing and surfing our way down to Turtle Bay, sorry Bahia Tortuga, middle of next week. Were in a sport
fish, the "Julia J". If anyones around Cedros give us a holler.
