e-mail problem

I know I saw it on the board somewhere, but I could not find any info using search. I just switched from using starband to a mexican terrestial internet, in Bahia de los Angeles. I can receive e-mails, but i can't send them. Outlook says it can't find the SMPT server. I think it has to do with the port setting, but that is as far as I can go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bob

This is likely the thread you're referring to:

Need to find out what the email settings are for your new email provider. Particularly the SMTP (outgoing email) settings, including the outgoing server address, and what port# to use.

Default SMTP port# is 25. If it's not working with the default setting, generally the non-SSL alternative being used most often is 587. Also might try 26.
