the tip is only needed if you leave the boat in mexico

vacationers need nothing except current usa registration for the trailer and the boat
and they probably will check this at the border when you cross
after that nothing unless you get in trouble

in the old days you did need a tip and a "boat" fishing license
but that changed a few years back

now...
only a fishing license is needed for all boat riders

Thankfully this subject came up as I was unaware of the requirement. I plan to tow my boat to Cabo and leave it at our house so we will need the TIP. It took three tries to secure the permit on line but finally got the info. approved. Cost, 593.91 pesos with delivery estimated within 10 days.:spingrin:
