Rock CARVING info for BCS?

I have read a bit about the cave paintings, but was wondering about info on tufa/toba carving? May've seen some and cannot find any info when I do a search.
Muchas gracias for any leads...or experiences.

toneart once showed us some rock carvings right above EL BURRO in Mulege ... we had to climb just a little bit and it was really interesting.

My sister had a tour guide who showed her some rock carvings on the way up to CUEVA DEL RATON ...

and that pretty much covers my experience.

Come visit La Bocana

We took a tour behind Mulege about ten miles. We saw a fantastic cliff full of rock carvings. Also called petroglyphs. All the fish species from the Cortez were carved in the rock. Very cool. Go to Mulege and get a guide for a tour of the La Trinidad area. Great cave paintings at one site and the petroglyphs at a different site.

At Blanca's recommendation, CP and I are communicating by U2U. To my way of thinking, one should best get a local guide to take you to to cave paintings and petroglyphs.

The rock carvings that have been mentioned by Blanca need to be preserved, as they have been for centuries, with no modern culture defacement. They are there for those who know where they are and their survival has been, so far, respected. I only take personal friends to see them.
