San Felipe Car Storage
Hello,
I will be doing a 2-3 month kayak expedition starting in San Felipe and I am trying to find out what on earth to do with my car. Is San Felipe safe
enough to just leave my car somewhere for a couple months(if I don't have any valuables in it)? I was also thinking of car storage but am unsure of
how much it would cost and if they offer it there? Can anybody offer me some advice on what to do with my car? Oh..I was also thinking of renting a
car one way from the US to Mexico - is that possible?
All advice is welcome!!!
Cheers
Dave

I do too....for years.....without issues.
Cover your car from the environment.
Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Perfect! A little on the expensive side, but I am moving all my stuff off my lot and have an intermediate place to leave it on the way out. Will save
several hours off the full trip since i am WELL south of town.

Thanks for info folks! Anybody know of any other car storage that is a little cheaper?
Let me ask - is car storage primarily for valuables left in the car - or is the major concern car theft? I ask because I was wondering if it would be
a safe bet to leave my car abandoned or hidden somewhere out in the boonies? Is that just a stupid idea?

Bad idea... it will be found. Make friends with an area Nomad resident if you can't find a public storage that is reasonable price.. or have someone
take you down and then return to pick you up.

I live too far to subject someone to drive me and then drive back, but that would be ideal if I could find someone.
Any Nomad residents willing to allow me to park on their property? I would be willing to pay - I am also great at washing dishes!!!

depends on the value you set on your car and posessions whether it's expensive or not. Leaving your auto anywhere other than secured storage for as
long as you say is a open invitation to have it stolen

You get what you pay for. 50 + bucks is cheap.
Leaving stuff in your car....outside of a professional storage yard.....is not smart unless you have a large trunk space.

But I won't be leaving anything in my car - it will be empty. So 52$ is probably the cheapest I will find?
