Need Extra Driver - San Diego - Mulege

I have an urgent and serious need for an experienced, licensed with clean record, insurable, mostly-sober, non-smoking relief driver with a good sense of humor and a high tolerance to pain if you don't follow me closely in my pickup.

EDIT NOTE:

THE TRIP PART DESCRIBED BELOW IS OVER...DONE!

BUT PLEASE READ THE LAST POST ON PAGE 2!!

We drive from Up North ND soon....in October anyway...heading across and down the Central and Pacific Flyways to places like Spotted Horse, Wyoming, Bozeman, MT, West Yellowstone, the Great Salt Lake, Lost Wages Hardrock Cafe, Stateline, Mad Greeks Cafe in the desert, Cindy Lou's 50's Diner, Cardiff Chart House, ....

.....and finally Anthony's on the waterfront, San Diego.

This trip will be approx 2100 interstate miles and 4-6 days....unless the same events happen as last year...

All fuel and lodging paid ...by somebody, I'm sure. Maybe some roast duck, also.

This would be best for someone already Up North, as it is quite costly to get here from anywhere down south.

Shoot me a U2U or email for my cell, unless you already have it. Must have name/number for next of kin.

..and bring a current road map...?

Oceanside has a great breakfast/ lunch place on the corner of Cassidy and Coast Hwy. (101)... called the Beach Break Cafe... it is also the new home of the Oceanside surf museum collection of surf boards, skate boards and photos.

In Vista, for breakfast or lunch: Sunrise Cafe, near the corner of Mar Vista and South Santa Fe (north from Hwy. 78).

For dinner in Oceanside, off Hwy. 76 at Foussat (near the old drive-in, airport) go to Davina's Mexican Restaurant on Mission Ave., just west of Foussat.

Thanks bufeo,

I am coming through the Potato State by way of the Galatin River Road/Highway...91?...I turn south at Bozeman, MT ..go thru West Yellowstone and down to hook up with I-15 at Idaho Falls. Then it's the boring, but quick super-slab all the way to San Diego.

If you are somewhere around that Hwy 91 or I-15 part of Idaho, I'll stop by if at all possible...and muchas gracias!

Used to Drive 30,000 Plus Miles Each Year

Many thousands of miles without accidents and lots of fun.

Sadly, my driver's license was cancelled when the doctor reported my stroke.

I can reapply, but not in time for the grand Pompano trip.

Have a great trip as always, GJ

Update: "Change and Hope"

Well, lots has happened since my first request for a pickup driver from the Dakotas to San Diego. That turned out very well, indeed...done deal.

Now for the next step:

Do you fit the description in the first paragraph of this thread? Do you need a free trip from San Diego to the warm, sunny beaches of Baja Sur? Your departure would be anytime this next week, between October 31st and November 4th.

I can use a driver/s to take the pickup from San Diego to Mulege. About 630 miles...12-13 hours driving time. NO speeding. No live chickens allowed in cab.

Will supply all fuel, food, and lodging along the way.

Make voyages, attempt them.

.
p.s. edit to add: A caravan may be possilbe ...if I can arrange it in time.
