Good Morning, The hotel is open and being run by Beto and Alphonso's wife, Tecte. The restaurant is open for breakfast and light meals and the bar is open on limited hours. Dony's Restaurant just re opened, near the arches, and might be a better choice for meals. The pool is warm, about 85 degrees. The hotel was fully occupied last week for the festival. Cero, Alphonso's son can take you to SR or anywhere for a small fee. And I can introduce you to some locals who could also take you. If you want info on fishing, boat tours or whatever, stop in and see me at the Cuesta Real. Look for the Willys wagon and airstream. Also, Pepe has a bunch of bicycles you could use and possibly a quad.

Here is the website
http://www.hotelhaciendamulege.com/

and Cuesta site ( owned by Sanda, Alphonso's daughter and Pepe)

Richard,
Thanks for the link.:saint:

La Hacienda is a very special place for those of us who enjoy Mulege.

I like the website (my guess is that it is your work....I can tell by the ubiquitous snaps of pretty young women:biggrin:) ). As I scrolled down the homepage, I recognized the picture of the dirtbikes to be that of our group that was down for 2 weeks in February of this year.

However, that photo was taken at Rice and Beans in San Ignacio on Day One of our adventure. My guess is that DT sent that pic along somehow as he and I are the only BN's on that ride.

My version of that ride may be seen at:
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=666961

David posted his on this forum as well....both are great reads and photo essays...

Meanwhile, back at La Hacienda:

Motoged - Opps, Your pic here, number 4 is the one I meant to use. I'll switch that out soon. And good guess, I'm the website developer http://myflash.biz

The colours in the Hotel Hacienda courtyard are electric and you captured that nicely.

ps. If anyone has any ol time pics of the Hacienda, I could use them for the "history " section. (hint to roger)

Here's one that I took during the BBP hurricane Jemena relief effort...

Notice the water line on the wall on the bottom right of the picture. This location is well up from the river valley. Lots of water happened during that storm....dt

Richard,
I know that I have some dating back to the 70's. I'll see what I can find and bring them along when we're in Mulege in 10 days or so.
