Can't any of you Nomads in Baja (south of the border price zone) post what the figure on the pump says (pesos per liter)?

That's better than 13 pesos to the dollar!
9.17 x 3.785 = 34.70 (pesos per gallon)

Big deal because they are cheaper prices to drive on and have fun with, then here in USA (where the government makes more per gallon profit than the
companies who make the stuff... then blames the oil companies for their 'excessive profits')! LOL |
David, are you a tea bagger? Sure sound like one.

The reason I asked is I'm headed to BOLA next week in a gas-powered motorhome. Just trying to figure out my budget...Can I afford Don Julio, or stick
with Cazadores??

Well, it is a buck a gallon cheaper in Baja than in California... so better driving value. Top off in El Rosario (225 miles from the border)... then
you can make it to L.A. Bay where there are two stations... about 176 miles from El Rosario.

We're heading back to the States for the holidays. Yesterday magna was 9.15 at the Pemex on Mex1 in Mulege and 9.25 at El Rosario. Our last exchange
rate at the Mulege Atm was 13.77 pesos/us $. After atm and bank fees the net was 13.54. Approx price/gallon 2.60. We'll fill up at Tecate since we'll
be traveling thru California, Oregon and Washington.

Maybe fill up in Guadalupe Valley? Tecate is in the border price zone which matches Calif. USA prices... The cheapest gas I have seen around San Diego
is about $3.69/ gallon.

I bought fuel at the Pemex on Industrial Blvd a few miles east of the turn for the Otay Mesa crossing.
That Pemex was giving 13.1 pesos : $1US.
Prices were:
9.56p/ltr for regular (x 3.78 = 36.14 /13.1 = $2.76/gal)
9.65p/ltr for diesel (x 3.78 = 36.48/13.1 = $2.78/gal)
Correct my calculation if it is incorrect.
