Looking for a place to stay.
Good evening fellow Nomads. I am doing a short 3 day ride this coming weekend 15,16,17th leaving Tecate in the Saturday AM heading south through Ojos
to Santo Tomas down the coast to Camalu then back to Mikes on to Tecate, you get the idea. The first night we are planning on spending either at
"Horespower Ranch" (short leg) or stretching it out to the coast, but I am not familiar with any places between Santo Tomas and Camalu to spend the
night. We have a small group of 6 riders looking for a place on the coast(saturday night) with a good compound or a understanding staff.(put bikes in
room) Sunday night will be at "Mikes" Monday will be a nice easy day home. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

BB,
Most likely motorcycles....even Superman couldn't do that loop on a bicycle in 3 days....
No such thing as a "dumb question" I was once told....and then discovered numerous people who pointed out that my questions were dumb.
What's with that???
Don't believe everything you think....

I have seen a few motocyclist stay at this place which is right on a bluff over looking the ocean. It is knid of a work in progress hotel the last
time I went. Ther restaurant was
pretty decent with a nice view. At the time that I stayed
it was early in its construction and they had a night watchman. We tipped him a few bucks to keep an eye out on our stuff rather than to have to
unpack and take it into the room. I know that it is baja Mexico, but really, put your
motorcylces in the room? Yeah I would hate to wake up to find my bike gone too. But as a owner of a hotel would you
even consider this? Here is a link with contact info.

turn west on hiway 1 in san telmo, where the turn off is to San Padro Martir (just south of Colonet). go west (the right road is 100 yards north of
the paved turn off) about 5 miles until you see the houses and trailers to the south along the bluffs. $15/night per person, dinner or breakfast is
$5. Cuatro Casas Hostel. cool place. Richard is a Kawasaki nut and will put you on some cool trails as you head back towards the border. bring your
own map so he can pinpoint it for you.
tell him Woody sent you......

Guys, remember that the Baja 1000 is running this region in a month and there are now pre-runners testing the coarse! So, just be aware of the heavier
use of some of the roads...

Coyote Cal's in Erendira is great! We stayed there once, can't wait to go back, no need to take your bike to the room. Secure, great place, food, bar,
people, Tai massage, etc., etc.,.....dt

Coyote Cal's in Erendira
on the bluff.
Funky & fun and the best Thai massage in the world, no kidding!
Check out their webpage and FB.
You can get there from the main turnoff about an hour south of Ensenada but for great motorcycling take the dirt road that heads in from the north--
check out a detailed Baja map.
