I found one here in La Paz, so you would think that in fishing towns like that, you should be able to. Ask all the other shops in the area, they
should know. Try asking Pompano or Pescador for SR/Mulege areas, Bill Earnhart or Flyfishingpam for Loreto. Good luck! If it comes down to it, I'll
give you the name and number here in La Paz.

Fransisco Meza in San Lucas has a computer and I think he has the codes for . I know he does for Yamaha and Evinrude. He is a real top quality
mechanic. His number is 615-160-1031 And cell is 615-104-4677

Depending on year and model, you are correct Wiley. My 2002 Mercury 60HP EFI 4 Stroke is a Yamaha, but it takes the Mercury/Quicksilver scanner to
pull engine trouble codes.

Right you are, bajabass,
I have the same Merc 60HP EFI 4-S on a backtroller Up North and just had it in the shop this last July for maintenance. Takes that scanner to read
the codes.
Francisco, as Pescador mentioned, is a great mechanic for that Sta. Rosalia, San Lucas, San Bruno area....and if you are in need of some Mulege help,
keep these two below in mind. (click on the threads to see thier info, numbers, etc)
Both are schooled computer readers and very familiar with the newer 4-strokes. I've used them both in the last 2 years and recommend them as good
Mulege OB mechanics.

(on that last one named 'Mulege Mirror'...scroll down to page 8 if you are not taken there directly - read "Jesus is an Excellent Outboard Mechanic in
Mulege")
Beuna suerte wherever you end up...and tight lines on the water!

David Cunningham in Loreto, is a certified Merc and Evinrude mechanic. I have his number someplace, but still looking. Ask at the Marine store, they
know him.
"Jesus is an Excellent Outboard Mechanic in Mulege", I concur, he is excellent and has very fair prices.

More Merc stuff: Here's part of a thread about SS prop repairs done in Loreto two years ago.
http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=44179#pid4928...
"Next I went to talk to another old aquaintance from my times in Loreto many years ago, Cunningham's boat yard.. a couple blocks south of the
Pescadero supermarket.
We talked about whether he could work on a Evinrude Etec in case I needed it...and unfortunately he said no, but was qualified on almost every other
brand..Yammie, Suzie, Merc, etc. I then asked him about who he thought could repair a stainless steel prop? - Que repara las hélices de acero
inoxidable en Loreto?"
David has worked on a buddy Merc 4-S..and knows motors.
