Cowboys gets my vote, the taco joint across the street is the BOMB and if you want a nice "sit down" meal Malarimmo's is a short walk down the street......dt

MALARRIMO

One way that may help to remember is that the double L and double R are seperate letters in Spanish from L and R... otherwise you generally never see any double letters in Spanish words... so no double M.

One that gets a lot of gringos is LOS BARRILES (sometimes spelled wrongs as Barilles or Barrilles)... Here there is two choices since RR and LL are seperate letters and either could work. How to tell the right way is that the LL has a Y sound as in yellow... as in the amarillo (yellow in Spanish, not the way Texans say it). You don't hear "Barriyeas" when you say the name. A hard L is just one letter L, not the LL of Spanish. (this rule works for Malarrimo too, often mis-spelled Mallarimo! :light:

PS you get a pass on your Baja spelling with the El Volcan/ Santa Isabel trip report!!!
