Colonet Motel
Some friends asked me about the newer motel on the east side of the road in Colonet(it is on the hill above the road). They will be going South in a
week are so and wonder if it is dog friendly and the cost of a room. Was it a good place to stay and how is the restaurant? Has anyone stayed there
and can answer their questions?

I have stayed there before and it was 600 pesos. The food was good and the rooms real nice and new. The one thing I remember was there was no heat in
the rooms and it was in the winter and quite cold in those block rooms. Not sure about pet friendly tho.

Wendy & I have stayed there, and would stay there again. Restaurant off to the right when you enter the reception area. Right about no heat in
the rooms. Great opportunity for those still in love to snuggle, once in the bed.
Hot showers. If you can travel with a small compact portable heater, it would help. Or a heating pad, for those who don't like cold sheets. I
negotiated a better price by telling desk person that I was a member of the Baja Nomads & also Vagabundo del Mar Travel Club. think it was
something like $50.00 u.s.
That was a year ago. Things seem to change on a daily basis 'down there'.
And was very clean.

Ran into a man at the El Morro in Santa Rosalia that said the Hotel La Mision in Colonet was the nicest hotel north of Cabo. Reasonable and very, very
clean!!! Right on the hiway though.
Keep your eyes on the road, and your hands upon the wheel!

600 pesos as was said before. No pets. Nice rooms....but we will never stay there again. All night long you hear the trucks coming down the hill
right in front of the hotel.
Right about La Mision. it was 750 pesos though.A little more than the others but a notch up in terms of class as well.

Having stayed at all three hotels - Paraiso Colonet Hotel, Mission Inn and La Villa de San Quintin - I like either the Mission Inn or the Villa de San
Quintin the best. I believe the Villa is a little less money.
Villa de San Quintin 011-52-616-165-1800
Mission Inn 011-52-616-166-4400

Adding my 2 pesos worth........
I too favor Villa de San Quintin- about 50 bucks/clean/QUIET/ good heater/no pets (big fine)/great restaurant with room service. Internet connection
by ethernet cable only.
La Mision-expensive but very nice/we couldn't fine anything in the restaurant we wanted to eat..."liver and onions!"...what's with that?
Paraiso- no heat/so-so restaurant unless you order seafood molcajete/never could get on the WiFi
Things are expensive, but at least we get a free trip around the sun once a year
