Looking to move to La Paz
Looking to move south and have been reading BN to try and get a feel of the many things I do not know about living sob. Been up and down the Baja
many times, I have an uncle that has lived at Posada Conception for over twenty years, I have a cousin that lives there also and a brother that lives
in Puertecitos. I will be stopping by to visit with my brother for the first time this next trip down.
I have been reading the thread on “Living in Baja”. Great advise and I think I am on that page. (Move down and rent before you buy) Been reading the
thread “I do not recommend this real estate agent in Rosarito”. From there I do understand that real estate people in Mexico do not need or have
licenses that in any way details a minimum level of competency or ethics. So I am looking for a recommended agent (or process) that I might deal with
in the La Paz area. We have driven several times to La Paz and south, so we are a little familiar with the area.
We have a pretty “wide” comfort zone so we can try a lot of suggestions. Thanks for being here and willing to provide insight to your experience.

Havent you heard? La Paz is ugly, dirty, mean people, expensive, stressful, no places to eat, nowhere to fish or swim, dogs with rabies run around
bitting people, sharks have lasers, locals are known for being violent.
Why would you like to live here?

The water slows the lasers significantly so they are fairly easy to dodge and Jesse owns one of the finest restraurants in the City (and with all
there are to choose from that says alot). I too have traveled the peninsula for over 40 years and I have never regretted my decision to settle in La
Paz. There is always something to do regardless of your tastes.

Robin and Miriam at Vista Properties have a good cross section of what to expect R.E. wise in La Paz/El Centenario as well.

So, if La Paz is such a great place, why was Jesse in Los Cabos a couple weeks ago on the weekend?

Wake up to church bells, listen for that rooster at a distance, daily trips to the town's market, it is all about a small town's smells, sounds and
colors.
Saying hello to the abuelita across the street, feeding the neighbor's cat, walks to the Malecon, smell the ocean in a place where the pace of life is
mercifully slower. The beautiful Sea of Cortez, the sunsets.
La Paz is real Mexico with a lot of the "gringo" comforts. It is a little gem. Enjoy!

I can recommend a very competent, trustworthy and fun agent. Anabelle Rosell at 612-136-2761 at Coldweel Banker in La Paz, she speaks english very
well too.

There are a couple of interesting wine merchants in the Cabo area. Was wondering if you go there, or have some secret supplier?
