homeowner insurance La Paz

I guess in the states I would never second guess getting homeowner insurance but I have a new home here with virtually nothing to burn, a security system, monitoring, with cameras and a good fence. What should I be considering in whether to insure and if so anyone have a recommendation for an agent in La Paz?

I had the same doubts until the housekeeper cleaned the cooktop and left the gas slightly open. The gardener fortunately came and turned it off, he said the smell was very strong in the whole house. If ignited the cement house still would have been destroyed. I am glad I had the insurance anyway.

Good company is "Inbursa" they are a couple of doors higher up on Bravo from Bancomer Isabela La Catolica. Guy names Carlos Echegollen Ruiz de Velasco 122-0417 or 125-7161

As you said your home may be almost fire proof, but unlike the U.S. a lot of the componets in your home are considered personal property here things like windows ,cabinets and the list goes on. if I were you i would get a apoinment with a good insurance agent and have them explain it to you. on my house the personal property coverage amounts to twice the structual dollar amount.
