North of the border, south of the border, San Ysidro, Otay, Tecate, Mexicali, or ???

San Ysidro? Otay? Tecate? North? South?

MEETING PLACE

TJ bound?

South on the I-5 from San Diego the last U.S. exit is "Via de San Ysidro"

At the bottom of the off-ramp make a right turn, stop sign in another 50 feet. Continue straight, across the street is a big, two-story Mexican Insurance building on the right. Huge parking lot.

Here ya go!

my 2 cents

burger king at dairy mart road
about 3 miles north

a place to sit eat and p**

its on the east side of the freeway and easy on and off

if you go all the way to the border there may be alot of traffic crossing and its hard to get on the freeway

If they were expecting an easy, non-congested place to meet at the worlds busiest border crossing it won't happen. McDonald's is just a highly visible landmark, nothing more.

Outlet stores

Actually in my experience, the outlet stores area is very nice and has McDonald's and some extremely nice restaurants as well, I personally never had a problem getting back on to the highway..of course...the wait to get into Mexico is always a problem at rush hour.
