1Bajalover....Welcome. I will be presumptive and respond via Islanderbuilder's suggestion. No doubt he has read my
somewhat dramatic account of my own dental experience of a year ago, and is referring to that in a whimsical way.
I assure you, the dentist in my following thread of that horrific event is 'not' in Mulege.
Here is my experience..a very different experience than what you will find, of that I am POSITIVE...the main thing is, I survived.
You can click and read this if you want...but maybe you shouldn't. Your choice.

Now..as to dentists in Mulege? Yes.
Good ones? Yes, via the coconut telegraph, I 've recently learned that we now have a well-trained and experienced professional dentist in town. I
don't know any names..yet. But this is a village. It won't take you 5 minutes to learn names and find offices, plus rates.
Dinero? Again I do not know whether their/his/her service is expensive per se...or considered economical. Personally, I would not mind paying
any reasonable fee for such an important health service.
And please do not let my account scare you off from seeing the new dentist/s in Mulege or the good ones in Sta. Rosalia (I hear good reports from
there). I am told no deaths have occurred so far....JUST KIDDING...GO, SEE THEM, PRACTICE GOOD DENTAL HYGEINE, BRUSH AFTER EVERY MEAL.

Gee! I just meant that since Pompano has lived in the area for soooooo long that he would be a good resource.
BTW, Pompano, the thread you just linked to is the one in which you became my hero. An amazing story, well told, with a good outcome. So glad you're
still posting!

Hells bells! A fan. Good, I may need somebody at my back if things heat up around here.
You may be right about me living here so long. Would you believe I built my first rock home when it was just cooling from molten lava....?

You should consider La Paz. Only place with dental labs to back up your dentist.
American by birth, Mexican by choice.

Or...Algadones south of Yuma, Arizona. First choice of thousands of Canadians and Americans.
Labs galore, also pharmacies, MD's, all heath services well represented.

1Bajalover - I think you'll find that any honest dentist in Baja is cheap, compared to even the cheapest one North of the border. Unless he is not
quite honest and would charge you 3 or 4 times of what he normally would, because you're a gringo and new in town and "no hablo mucho". They do this,
it's a Mexican way. Don't discard St. Rosalia, 40 miles North of Mulege. And Loreto, 70 miles South. Both are bigger towns than Mulege. There is a bus
4 times a day, might come handy when you are high on medications.

Cap, I've been thinking mostly about stuff that they sedate you with. They don't do this with a baseball bat, I hope? Topical anesthetics are still
drugs, I can feel it every time coming out of dentist's. Or you had to take some heavy stuff before going there, like Tylenol 3 (the one with
codeine).
