las barrilles

Went on a cruise last week to cabo, rented a car and drove to las barrilles to check it out, very nice, is it ever not windy there?

Amigo, I believe the wind subsides in May after a season of Kiteboarding and blowing sand! It's wonderful for those of us who only want to fish or explore around. Windgirrll or Osprey will dial you in as they are locals! Same winter winds howl down from the north into Mulege and Loreto. Gotta learn the seasons . Good luck. Tio

If you don't like wind, this isn't the time of year to be around Los Barriles. Wind sports were part of the initial attraction (after fishing, of course) that helped establish it as a tourist destination.

It's what's also powering some of the development around El Sargento/La Ventana now. I've been told by some wind sport practitioners that they use to go to Los Barriles, but it got too developed and they find in La Ventana Bay what they use to have further south.

Come the hot, muggy summer months, we wish for such winds!
