Here's the backside...



Whole different powerband in the Alfas. Great to drive at high-rpm's and they seemed pep up my days no matter where I was going.

Back in the 60s me and my buddies put a 100HP Corvair in a bug and it was very fast. Because Corvair/VW rotation is opposite we had to reverse ring gear and pinion to have 3 speeds forward. Also had problem finding 6V starter to fit and turn Corvair properly. As I recall it came out of a Goliath.
PS: the corvair had 164cid = 2,687cc
