Ken, one of your last posts was about low tides suggesting a tsunami , now you post about high tides and suggest rain has something to do with it...

Did it ever occur to you the full moon last night was the cause?

We had a huge high tide in Carlsbad, Ca. last night too.... It is that time of year. They're usually higher and lower at this time and due to
the full or new moon. Great for tide pooling and claming.....

This moon last year we were at La Bocana. It was rippin' through the mouth with the big highs and lows.

Never surfed it, but back in the day there was
a place in front of the TJ river named the Tijuana
Sloughs, suppose to hold a big wave at times.
Read in 1 of the old Baja books about the area
around LA Bay midriff area, where some underwater
cameras recorded boulders the size of 'box cars'
being moved along the bottom on a large tidal
movement on a new/full moon as the upper Cortez
empties

we had a lovely 11' west wave today...so hypnotic, alluring and addictive...just one more set...rainbow waves thunder in and crash on the rocks in our
front yard.

It has been difficult to get anything done today---difficult to leave the front porch ---- watching those waves has been great!

Nice pix. I wasn't sure the rainbow effect would show in a picture, and it did and it is lovely.
