Just did some research and this stun might work in some situations but I wouldn't trust it. You can find ratings/reviews and youtube videos showing tests done.

At most, you'll hurt the person, they'll feel pain, pull away, but this thing won't put them down. Probably just pi$$ them off -- even if it sounds dangerous, it really isn't. Like getting an electrical shock -- and think someone drunk or on drugs wouldn't feel a thing.

Forgetaboutit.

What I say before any important decision.
F*ck it.

I doubt you'll ever get the definitive answer to that, or a million questions just like it. Most lawyers here wouldn't even know where to look for the answer as the law books precede the existance of stun guns.
As in most cases of questionable "tools as weapons" issues, it's not what you have in your hand, but what you do with it.....using the machete as an example.
It's all a matter of personal choice, what you prefer to be in extreme cases....Legal or Dead. It really isn't much of a choice...is it.

I do, however, remember seeing stun guns for sale in the gift shop at Rodriguez [Tijuana] International Airport.....albeit, pre-9-11.

How many of us in a macho moment haven't taken the opportunity in a cantina to hold in each hand the metal rods wired to a transformer and showing everyone around us our exceptional tolerance to electrical shock, then PAYING for the experience.
Shocking....ain't it.
