What more does Baja need to make you happy/happier?
Getting a little nostalgic about Up North today.....
Here's a couple photos showing what I am missing this winter down here in Baja Sur:
1. Making an old-fashioned Snowman from today's snowfalls...and then having a snowball barrage with the neighbors.
2. And a good thin-crust, greasy, old-style, fold-it-over pepperoni honest-to-God Pizza-"pizza"...not the thick, chewy, tomato-cardboard stuff made in
most Baja cafes.
3. Crispy french fries! Please!!! No more soggy papas!!
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

What more does Baja need to make you happy/happier?
I think it's obvious:
1. Fewer paved roads
2. Less people and development
3. More gamefish
4. Consistent schools of gamefish every summer.
Basically everything that was there and has been lost.

In no specific order...
firewood.
1ft. or so of extra highway width on the quota.
50% more halibut (preferably wherever I happen to be camped).
Honest Pemex owners. Even if they were just like, "Hey man, we just ripped you off. Sorry."
Dogfood (not for me/my dog, but for the millions of roadside dogs who look hungry as hell).
otherwise, perfect.

it's pretty friggin good as is. i prefer it to have cops, warts, muddy roads and well, maybe more good spots, cuz we all know the lineup is getting
too crowded...

Roger,
A nice 400 mile plus or minus drive will get you the pizza you are looking for. Los Barriles has a wood fired pizza oven on the main drag. Owners are
from Italy and have fantastic thin crust pizza and great fresh seafood, last time I was there he served us the fish he had speared that morning.
Nice outdoor dining area as well as inside seating.

Interesting question, 2 come to mind,
neither are pressing, but to have Mex Immigration
have clear printed, adheared to, no deviation, no
open to different interpretation, regs would be nice.
Some not so slow speed limit signs out of the cities. A few months back, a poster was elated that Costco was
delievering to San Felipe, I thaught that was
weak to put an emphasis on that sort of convenience

The pizza thing. Don't we all know that there are only two places in North America for pizza? New York and Chicago.
Even a middlingly acceptable outfit such as Pizza Hut failed miserably in Cabo.

Sancho, I agree with the first. Something half way predictable would be good. On the other score though. When I figure-in a 20 mph USA style
disrespect for the numbers, it is't much different than in the states. Limit is 65 in LA and I'm in danger not doing 85! Is the enforcement equally
racially motivated?

Less poverty, less hunger, more honest government, better infrastructure to allow more of all the variety of fruits and vegetables to arrive from the
mainland to supply abarroteras, y tienditas.
More extraneous willing to bring more paperbacks for rural locations.

well, for those of you who live close to us here in La Bocana, you will perhaps be happy to know that our local coop is building a brand new state of
the art mini version of costco right here in town. The bldg is being built already and it promises to be amazing.
Our local fishing cooperative delivers lobster - abalone - fish etc. up to ensenada and then does shopping up in chula vista costco and drives it down
to our old run down store ... and we love it ....but I can imagine the new store will be nothing short of FANTASTIC. We do already get fresh veggies
and fruit from vizcaino and g negro as it is.
I can post photos of the building in process manana.
