No (norte) Americano's (ugly or otherwise) were involved.

Made it. Roads getting better all the time! Sure there are a few diversions but just thinking when these sections are completed how nice it'll be. As usual I missed getting in the correct lane for SD. And ended up in a traffic circle. Now where? No problem this time. A guy on a bicycle ask if I wanted to go to SD and led me to the border lanes 1-9. Still an hour and a half but I had fun with the venders and the torta was good.

I was referring to the above post about the boat trailer ripping someones car apart and others seemingly like attitude, . I wonder what would have happened if a policeman was around.

Not sure if cutting in line is illegal or not. Ramming a car that's cut in sure is. Rancher was out of line. I think the moral of this story is suppose to be cut in line, have your car damaged then get knocked on your butt. Is that it?

Cars cutting in-----------reminds me of a true story too.

Way back when we had Ferry's from Coronado to San Diego and long slow lines, a guy in a Jaguar cut in front of my friend in line. We were in his ancient beatup pickup we used for our Baja trips. The Jaguar was at a strange angle because he could not fit in line all the way between us and the next car in line, leaving the side of the Jag towards us. My friend just kept driving like the Jag was not there, crushing the side of the Jaguar. The guy leaped out of the Jag running back towards our pickup----my friend (6' 5" tall, about 270 lbs.) stepped out of the pickup to meet him asking, "you have a problem"? The guy got back in his Jag. and backed out of the line and we continued on our way to a lot of hand-clapping from other drivers.

What comes around, goes around---------there are consequences for being a jerk, and this guy learned that this day.

I applauded him, and still do to this day.

By the way, my big friend was a prominent Coronado Lawyer, and I assume he knew the law, and his liability------we never heard from the Jag guy, and don't even know who he was.

Looks like there were 3 jerks there that day. Sad.

All in how you look at it--------line-cutting was seldom a problem in the Ferry lanes in Coronado, and definitely NOT tolerated by anybody--------it sometimes took a long time to get on the ferry, especially in the morning.

As I said, their are consequences for your actions, as it should be, IMO.

Things sure have changed: had this situation happened today, someone would be going to jail. Consequences, indeed.

Ahhhh, Lee, I don't think so. No arrest, no Jail. At most a witnessing officer would ask the Jag driver if he wanted to press charges, and it would go to court-----no arrests. I doubt seriously if a Jury or Judge would fine either one-----it's a stand-off.

Just my opinion, of course.
