It's actually just BEFORE the car wash as you're heading west; in other words, the car wash is on the northwest corner of Bellas Artes & the SENTRI access road. There is an overhead sign on the access road (but NOT on Bellas Artes) so you'll see it if you look on the access road towards the border. If you go past the car wash, the next road (before the overpass) takes you into the general border lanes and then you're stuck, so DON'T take that road. Instead, continue down Bellas Bellas Artes and make a U-turn, heading east. Go under the overpass and get in the left turn lane (there's a signal). Make an easy U-turn and you can then make a second attempt.

That's right Paul; Colina del Sol. If you use the "street view" feature in Google maps you can actually see the entrance and the SENTRI sign that I was talking about (along with the car wash). Much easier than the approach to the SENTRI lane in San Ysidro, that's for sure!

the road next to the car wash has got some front end altering pot holes as well as the sentri lane itself.
