Mulege to San Miguel to la Ballena

Does anyone have any RECENT information on road conditions of mountain routes from Mulege to San Miguel and west to La Ballena, and/or to Guadalupe ruins and on to San Jose de Magdelena and back out to Mex 1 south of San Bruno? Is it passable by car (well-outfitted Toyota Landcruisers)?

Well, since nobody ever replied we decided to go anyhow! We made it up and over (from west to east), and Baja never ceases to amaze me. Just returned home and when I get caught up I'll post a report and photos of this incredible route.

Looking forward to your trip report and photos!

Thinking about going to the mission site of Guadalupe and its visita of San Miguel, about 20 mi. to the south. If you examined either site, I would welcome your findings.
