Baja Outpost ?

Yesterday I chatted with a mate who spent 2 years wandering about South and Southeast Asia. And, last night I ran into the Baja Nomad forum for the first time. There are lots of charmed lives. Those living in central Baja are among them!

I'm trying to reach Leon at Baja Outpost in Loreto but phone numbers and emails to no avail. Does anyone know how I might reach him or someone there? Thanks!

I last saw Leon ten years ago. I heard he left Loreto. He still maintains a Baja Outpost website http://www.bajaoutpost.com/ you might try contacting him through the site.

Tracked Leon down. Thanks for your help. And, thanks to all for the welcomes. To the original and true Skeeter, no intent to poach :) It's a nickname given to me many years ago due to my tendency to paddle the Okefenokee swamp. Bygone days as I'm now in Asia but looking to maybe bail to Baja someday. Again, thanks for all the goodwill

No Problem!
It is that we have some very Bad Nuts especially on the OT that would use the name or your posts to say Nasty things.

My name came when I was about 5 years old, small and running around all over the place, my Dad started calling me a MoSquito then shorten it up to Skeeter.
I have Skeeter Tatooed on my left Arm done by the Famous Painless Nell of San Diego.
Good Luck

Welcome to the BN skeeter !

I see that Ken was able to perhaps, help out. That's what the BN is about....good help and good reads.

Love the name BTW.

Welcome to the board, Skeeter. Whereabouts in Asia are you at?

Welcome to Skeeter II

I am now in Loreto but spent part of February in Vietnam. I was in HCMC (Saigon), Phu Quoc and Dalat.

Amazing and vibrant country. It's hard to believe that the U.S. and some other countries almost succeeded in bombing them into extinction and they harbor no ill will towards us. At least that was my take from the young and the old.

What part are you in and why?

We don't stop playing because we grow old;
we grow old because we stop playing
