Any Nomads going to Mexico for 5 de Mayo?
I'm thinking about it. Is anyone else thinking about 5 de Mayo this weekend?

Well, Cinco de Mayo is almost unknown in Mexico... but the tourist places like it, as it is better known in America (who may think it is Mexico's
independence day and not just the defeat of a French invasion force).
It used to be the time for Keri's Pyramid Resort Book Signing Events... Sure miss them... but with too many fearing the dangers of Mexico (an blind to
the daily crimes in their own towns), attendence is not likely to be overwhelming.

Hey David, Have you seen the map on Villa Bahia's web site that shows the deaths in So Ca as apposed to Baja?
Maybe you could ask permission and post it here, I'd do it myself, but, as you know............I don't know how. Cool map.

I just looked at their site, and went through most pages there... saw no such map... can you prove the location or link to it (url)?

Oh, I bet there is more things we can agree on... A lot of my posts on things are just to show another side of an issue for awareness Too many here think the government is the answer and that their neighbors
should pay for one's poor decissions in life.

Not a big deal in Mexico
And not such a "great victory" either,
Just a lot of wistful memories, and a BudLite moment

Just listened to a commentary on Capitol Public Radio by a Dr. Bautista, UCLA prof. They asked him about CdeM in Mexico and he said, "If you are not
in Puebla then don't bother to go- Mexico does not even know about this 'holiday'"
But, he added, "From LA to Boston it is a really big deal..."
Go figure

You don't have to go figure. It is like Hallmark making cards for every event. The alcohol industry pulled Cinco De Mayo out of the history books to
prime Americans for a spring time drunk fest.
I know in San Felipe most locals laugh about it the gringo holiday
