Bringing Back Commercially Purchased Fish?

While in TJ the next few days, was thinking about
bringing back some fish from the Fish Mkts, on 6th St.
I believe. If I'm not given a reciept of some kind, to show
I bought it, I won't be questioned by US Customs
will I? Like them thinking it was sport caught, patch
of skin etc.? I'll be walking back

I am sure you can get a receipt if you ask for one but I also can't imagine you would have trouble if you were walking back ... we have never had a problem altho I remember reading about someone who was questioned about their fish quite a while ago .....

but then again, we always drive and we always have a cooler FULL of fish we have gotten and frozen for months til we visit family ...

I've bought shrimp there before and they gave me a factura. It's better to have one and not need it than to need it and not have it.

they don't care either way as long as you declare that you have it. don't worry about the patch of skin that is the game warden. you are allowed X amount for personal consumption, not to sell at your business NOB without paying taxes.
