Fishing North Baja

I am looking at doing a trip next weekend, 12 May to North Baja. I only have the weekend to do a drive and some fishing. Any suggestions on where to go. I haven't driven baja in 15 years. I know i used to go to San Quintin but not really sure how the fishing is. Bottom fishing is ok with me.

You could go to castro's camp and load up on mostly whitefish.

Go through the reports to get an idea:

You could check out Vonnys in Punta Banda they have reported some yellow tail action . I think you can find his reports on the Bloody Decks site

Go to San Quintin drive out to the Old Mill or Don Eddies hire a Pangero/Panga. Fishing is always good for bottom fish if the weather is good. You might even get some Yellowtail.

All the suggestions are great but I have always loved this place:

We have made it there from Los Angeles in way less than five hours so you drive less and enjoy Baja more. Your own house on the beach with stunning views. The fishing is usually with a local panguero Marcos who really is the real deal as to old time Baja fishing...including the beat up panga...not for everyone but I marvel at watching him do his thang...bring your own squid! (pretty much only bottom fishing this time of year which is a drawback to some...white sea bass might be around but the area is known for rockfish, whitefish, ling cod, and hopefully some sheephead...IF the sea is calm you'll catch a ton of fish..."if").
