Lodging in San Vicente / Erindera
We'll be chasing/pitting for a race team in the Baja 500 this June.
I'd like to get my wife to go this year - as she does for the San Felipe 250 and Baja 1000.
In the past, I've stayed at Coyote Cals, with grandson and his friend - they had a great time! We always stay there when course marking for SCORE -
Rick and his staff are great!
Wife would like something "a llittle nicer".
We'll probbably pit South of Erindera, on the new race course section along the beach, instead of up on Erindera mesa.
Any suggestions for Erindera / San Vicente places to stay, to get my loyal wife to come?
Thanks

Yup - You are correct.
I'm betting if we are there course marking, there may be an opening.
Need suggestions.
Thanks.

Just south of the Pemex station in San Vicente is the restaurant Valentins (sp) and there is a small hotel attached --- it is in the back. While we
have been eating at the restaurant for over 20 years, we have not stayed at the hotel as they are not pet friendly.
It looks like a quite basic Baja hotel and since the restaurant is full of racing stickers, we guess that it is known to the racing community. Great
family run operation, but have no idea if they would be filled by now.

I've done this area for years......don't know a hotel that may be wife worthy depending on her standards. Most are just basic motels.
There's a new motel and bar about 20 miles north of Camalu if I remember correctly. What the hell it's called I have no idea. If your heading
southbound it's on the left and it's seriously clean, brand new, and very decent looking. I'll try and get you more info. Let me check my map.....

It is Hotel Paraiso in Colonet. We stayed there a couple of years ago and while it is very nice, it also gets noise from the trucks coming down the
hill. But its probably the only thing nice close to San Vicente.

went past last week and they even have a bar right next to the road, supposedly to keep the noise down for those trying to get some rest.....

Thanks rts551. Seems like a nice place to choose if heading northbound after a long day coming from the south and not wanting to stay in San Q. Good
option between San Q and Ensenada.

Hotel Paraiso
Thanks all - I went to their Web site. Looks pretty good.
If we end up there or at Valentines, I'll post an update.
There is a "new" "motel" in downtown Erindera - haven't really looked at it before. I may swing by there while course marking to check it out - it
looked a little sketchy the last time I drove by.
If the grandson comes, instead of my wife, Cals is a no brainer! Lulu is still running it for Rick - good host.
