Where would you go fishing this month ?
So Im taking off the 15th this month, with an open itinerary for 2 weeks. Where would you personally hire a panga north of Mulege(Cortez side only).
San Francisquito ? San Bruno/San Lucas?
BOLA ? Im looking for dorado, yellowtail, or grouper. Im also thinking of going up thru Gonzaga on the way back up for some remote camping and shore
fishing.

Yellowtail, Cabrilla and Grouper, yes. You have to go a lot further South for the Dodo's this time of year.

I agree, East Cape. If you don't have a boat, a little more expensive down there but a much better chance of catching what you are looking for.

Yes, the la paz/east cape area is more reliable right now. There should be big schools of bait at Los Muertos and Pt Arena right now. Some of the best
rooserfishing seems to occur around this time near the shore.

Well, in another week the Dodo will be here. We have 76-77 degree water just east of Tortuga right now. Yellowtail fishing is WFO right now and
they are chewing the scales off of the Mackerel. Leopard Grouper have been hitting pretty good also. I live in San Bruno and you are not going to
find me going anywhere but right here until July.

Is it wrong that I've already started packing my truck for a quick Memorial Weekend trip?

yes!
i found out that i might have a few windows this summer. all of a sudden the surf is secondary as the freezer is empty. the beauty of baja (and a few
days off) is that the end of a dirt road is where it's at....

Only if it's for Memorial Day, 2014 otherwise it's OK

The very best is Rigoberto Ojeda, if he has an opening, but I know most of the other fishermen here as well.
