Best cell phone rates for calling US from Cabo?
I am sure this has probably been posted before but please tell me who the Nomads recommend for cell phone service. I goofed and changed my
NorthAmerican ATT no roaming plan and am paying way too much to call the US. Thanks
With Patience, Gratitude, and hoping to make history,
Pauline

TelCel. 20 minute call to anywhere in north america anytime, anyday, for I believe it's still nine pesos. For the entire 20 minutes. Your Cabo number
will work anywhere in both Bajas Californias, same deal, local call. ALTA VOZ feature on some cellulars means external feature, handy when using in
busy locations. MoviStar has far, far less coverage.
My TelCel did not come with a car charger.

We have used our Tel Cel Amigo phone for 6 years here - calls to Alaska and where ever - and from Alaska. . . no charge for incoming long distance
calls.
We also have magicJack. Love both!

I'll ask my secretary; she pays the bills. BTW, I have AT&T world wide roam and have never had a problem anywhere. Europe, SE Asia, Mexico, etc.

Tough to beat TelCel for price. Tough to best Iridium for world-wide service even from a life raft. Calls differ ever-so-slightly in cost.

I have a TelCel phone and I use the prepaid plan. It costs me $11.43 pesos for a 10 minute block of time to call anywhere in the USA from La Paz with
my TelCel cell phone. I use Skype to make free Skype to Skype (computer to computer) calls to my family in USA while I'm in Baja. Between the two,
phone cost is very low. Also, if you pay $200 pesos of time for the prepaid phone use, you get $250 pesos of credit.
