Just don't risk it by common carrier Blanca. COFEPRIS / Aduana will seize it forever. Includes correo méxicano, DHL, and UPS. The meds and anything at
all medical like CPAP supplies have to be hand carried into México by a private individual. They'll even keep vitamins, herbs, and weird stuff like
DMSO. (Foregoing by multiple personal, painful, expensive, experiences).

thanks for all the input ... we had the same terrible experince with Les's meds sent via FedEx. Had them stuck in Mexico City and ended up having them
sent back to the States .... what a disaster that was

I had my buddy in San Diego send me my meds along with my mail by USPS Express/Priority mail flat rate box. Got it at my mail box within 10 days most
of the time. He would open bottles & stuff with tp to keep them from rattling. Only 1 time was it opened 7 checked & sent along its way. You
can get most meds here in SanJose or at Costco.

Some Mexican meds can cost four dollars a dose, no generico available. My daily regimen at the cheapest costs me nine dollars forty eight cents a day
and it would be no cheaper at Sam's, Wal-Mart or Costco in Mexico. Been there done that. Having a Medicare Part D, plus supplement, give ninety days
of medicine for around seven dollars in the USA adds up to serious money X 365. Twenty one dollars versus THREE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY dollars
worth of pesos.
What is needed is a pipeline. I have a business contact in Vizcaino that said he would be more than glad to hold packages. A hundred feet off Mex 1, a
10-minute leg-stretcher a quarter mile from the northern side gasolinera.

thanks for the offer !! that would have worked too ! another nomad is on his way to bahia asuncion and will pick up mail and meds right at mom's
house in san diego ...so I really lucked out.
Our pharmacy/insurance company had a mix-up and shorted me on my dose - 68 days instead of 120 makes a BIG difference. and thru our insurance, the
meds are FREE. It'a a no brainer there, right ?

Next time I come down south, I'll send you some advance notice, and bring what I can.
In three weeks we are flying to SJDC and will be in the area June 27 to July 4. I'll do what I can to deliver what can easily be packed in a suitcase
without costing me additional baggage fees. We will be traveling the East Cape from El Centenario to SJDC.

Why not take turns making a run to the border? Seems like people are always needing (wanting) something from north of the border. Get a calendar
out, plan a monthly trip with each person responsible for doing the drive, and each of you pitch in for gas and lodging. Seems like a simple solution
to me.

well... what happened was that the pharmacy made a mistake, usually I get enough pills for 6 months ...our insurance covers the METFORMIN 100%.
I would really rather take advantage of the fact that our insurance in the States covers my med than take meds here, even though they may be
freebees. I am sure someone more needy can make use of that service....just my humble opinion. Also, I don't want to change meds without consulting a
doctor and thirdly, my doctor in the States feels more comfortable with my using the med he is familiar with....
we are 600 miles south folks, and I am teaching full time, so just hopping to san diego is not really an option. The meds are coming straight from
the pharmacy, closed, never opened.
