Well, not quite.

I am curious if Metformin is available in Baja just in case someone needs an emergency temporary supply?

It is such a common drug and one of the cheaper ones.

METFORMIN Very cheap. Extremely common, Many cheapest brands just as effective with me as Glucophage®.

QUICK! Isosorbide Mononitrate! Find cheap for me in Mexico! The brand that my Mexican cardiologist insists I take!

FACT! One thousand two hundred miles round trip at 20 mpg uses sixty gallons of fuel. Who pays for the tires wear? Any ten dollar hotels out there for a six-day excursion? Care to take a guess as to how much it would cost? Divide by ten, then find someone who is willing to sacrifice their time and motor vehicle.

Yes, it is expensive to drive down there. I suppose it all depends on how badly you need/want something.

Last year in BCS we needed the diabetes drug Lantus . We looked at several pharmacies w/o any luck, but was able to find a same drug under a different name that was made in China. We had no problems with it, but with the quality problems you read about with some Chinese products, we will try to avoid this happening again. Blanca, We almost brought down Les' meds a couple years ago, but we got pushed aside by some guy w/a fish handle. I think his name was Pompano or something like that. We'll be heading down again in Nov. if we can help.
