Old-fashioned Barber in Baja?
Anyone recommend a barber between San Ignacio and La Paz who offers the straight razor shave? I'll be down there at the end of the month.
We used to head to San Felipe for 20 years to get the "best shave in Baja" from Gaby but he passed away a couple years ago.
Thanks,
Ted

Those old-time shaves are a favorite of mine, too..and are getting rarer to find every year.
There was an old fashioned barber in Santa Rosalia many years ago...and was included in this thread about that seaport town. Unfortunately, he passed
away. But... you might check there, maybe someone has taken his spot by now.

The barbers chair in Sta. Rosalia

That town seems to have just about everything..inlcuding barber shops.
Good luck and a smooth shave!
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

I enjoyed his hair cuts for many years...always looked forward to a visit and one of his old fashioned hair cuts- A real treat!
I always left him a generous tip -- and he always remembered me from visit to the next visit..Never knew his name or much about him
Then he was suddenly gone.

Shari - Thank you and we might actually stop by. I'll let him know how we found him. Next trip, we'll head down your way.
Dean Miller - Are you talking about Gaby in San Felipe? If so, best shave I've ever had. He always had a strick rule of no drinking (he didn't drink)
in his place, but each year we arrived he would get a young boy to go get 4-5 caguamas for the group. Great guy, he's missed already.

Shari, oh we are gonna have to stop if he's got lamb chops!! We'll probably stop by his place on our way back up the peninsula.
Please check your U2U for another matter. Don't want to hi-jack my own thread!
