Camping Ensenada to La Bufadora

I would like to camp somewhere between Ensenada and La Bufadora some time in July or August. I will need hook ups full or partial for my small trailer (Casita). I would be greatful for any recommendations of where to camp and places to avoid. A reasonable monthly rate would be nice. It has been 15 years since I have been to Baja and would like to get back to that "Baja Feeling."

Punta Banda................

Full hookups......La Joya is your best bet.
Villarino's next door.....won't really give you that "Baja Feeling." Don't know why....but it doesn't for me.
You may want to check out Estero Beach as well. Very nice area.

I second Dennis' recommendation. An added bonus would be digging your own natural hot spring pool at low tide right on the beach.

las canadas

that a great place if you have kids with you..a mexican family theme park of sorts...very well keeped up. but again not hot water in the showers and yes I know that is sorta the norm down there/here....but myself like a HOT shower and am willing to pay for it..I got a ZODI propane travel shower and its a mobile flash water heater and is sweet first thing in the morn on a baja island,beach,campspot.. unlike a solar shower that you have to wait all day and is not adjustable on temp or pressure as I have rigged mine up.got keep the ladys happy !! ya know !! K & T  great for boats and road trips !!

Thanks, Toots. Miss you guys. Lemme know when you're back in town. I've been reinstated as a good guy at Sharky's, so it's all on me.

Many many many years ago there was a campground on the beach in the Estero Beach area called El Faro. I have many fond memories of the place, can anyone tell me if it's still there?
