US Passports At Los Cabos

Anyone gotten a US passport renewed at Los Cabos lately?

I just noticed mine has expired--just in time to make a difference on FM-2 renewal:no:

There is no one here to do that on a full time basis.
They sent someone down from Tijuana
Subscribe to the Baja Pony Express. They announce when the consul is coming

My wife renewed hers in CSL last year. It took 3 weeks. No problems. They sent it out by US govt. courier and back by courier. No additional cost.

If she did it in CSL, then things have changed since then. As stated the consul office is no longer in CSL.

Here is a more current link. Also Tina Brown is no longer the consulate however I have read/heard "the staff" is still available. After all they are the ones doing all the paper work even when Tina was in the office. Call the office to ask what you need to do...you may need an appointment.

Good Luck

Wonder where Trina Brown went. . . .
She was very accommodating when I needed a notarization in February.

Tracking down the consulate

Anyone else having trouble getting through?

Just called the listed number for Los Cabos consulate.
Got a recorded message.

Went online to make an appointment-- unsuccessfully.

Sent an email asking them to contact me.
We shall see what comes down the pike...
