Hey Chris and Diana,
I met you in Guerrero Negro at the cafe on Friday. I was with 4 buddies on our way back north. Sounds like your trip is going well so far. Since I was
just down in Mulege and Loreto, I will confirm it's gonna be hot. But it's also beautiful.
You'll find plenty of places to camp along the Sea of Cortez. Might suggest you stop by Las Casitas in Mulege and say hi to the owner Javier. He knows
everyone and might be a good contact. Also, camping along the beaches of Bahia Concepcion will be a highlight.

When in Mulege, camp under mango trees
and on grass, no less!
In town and off the highway Huerta Don Chano, on the north river road toward the lighthouse.
Enjoy the quiet friendliness of this family-run place.
Just ask in town and head out towards the lighthouse. You'll see the sign for some good relaxation, camping and good shower.

BUMMER! Well, just a lil bit,p we just figured out that we have not actually seen the town, it is on a different street further past the
lagoon/oasis.... Well, theres always "next time"... Sigh, onward and southward, I hope it wasnt too much of a must see... . We arrive in S. rosalia today and will be staying with freinds, let us know if there

They will take you to see the church made by Gustav Eiffel.
Ask them to take you up Mexican Mesa and upupup the microwave tower for a fantastic view down onto the town and the sea. Be sure to put it in first
gear coming down or risk break burnout.

Mulegena, muchas gracias, not to much troubñe with brake burnout as we are on bici's, though the have been a few times where the road is so steep my brakes got mushy and at the bottom of the hill Incould see theynstarted to melt....
David K, thanks for the pics! Would you explain how to post them, I tried a few times to no avail.... We stayed at Patates, it was perfect if that
exists, and I had one of the coolest bonfires I ever made, and we hung out with a French lady, a Mexican gentleman who is a photographer and an

Well, from any photo hosting web site or from any web site, for that matter... you can hot link the photo to appear right here in a Nomad thread. Many
of us here use the free hosting site 'Photobucket.com' However, not everyone has taken a moment to reset the upload size to 800 or less pixels in
width, as per this site's max. frame size... So, some photos will stretch the Nomad page wide, off the screen when they are over 800 pixels wide!
Here is a how to:
You can put pictures on Nomad from any other site using the IMG tags on each side of the image url [img] and [/img]. The photo hosting site will
usually provide you with a link for direct posting on forums.
HERE is my Photobucket how to:
For Nomads who have been posting too big photos on Nomad... Doug has asked (and those with standard 15" monitors appreciate) to limit the pixel width
to a max. of 800.
The sizing is done when you upload photos TO Photobucket from your PC. So, if you didn't do that already... and they are at the full size setting,
they will stretch the Nomad pages wide (on normal monitors).
How to resize them with Photobucket, on your album page:
1) Click the red button 'UPLOAD' at the top of the Photobucket page.
2) At the top of the Upload box that appears, see (in small blue text): 'Customize your upload options', and click that.
3) Choose a reduced size. 640x480 is nice for most photos. I usually only go to the 800x600 size for maps for max. detail on Nomad.
4) At the bottom, click 'SAVE'! Thats it!!!
Now, until you change that setting, all photos will be uploaded to Photobucket at whatever reduced size you picked!
To post your photos on Nomad, use your mouse and copy the link called 'IMG Code', below the photo you want to show... and paste it onto Nomad where
you type in your text... You can post several photos at a time, but I suggest not more than a dozen, and double space between each photo link.
Specially if you add some captions under each photo.

DavidK - Muchas Gracias! Im on it . Staying at a freinds of a freinds in
Rosalita, so stoked, we even have a very small AC unit. The weather isntmso bad
though, in the shade its great, blown away by the industry that appears to be in this town, especially from years past.... Went for a run on the
beach and that was over quick after we saw various pipes discharging different colored liquids into our path. Cest la vie I reckon, it saddened me, the beach coastline here krepresents the most trash I have seen on a beach in
my life, no exaggeration..... Sigh... Other than that, ninja in paradise. Again, if anyone knows of any projects we could be a part of, people who
arent feeling well we could give medicine too, especially if they do not have money, schools groups to chat with and share, do let us know, its why
wemdo what we do!
Update on the construction on hwy 1 from san ignacio to rosalita. We got a ride and thank goodness, the road was a mess, if you know of anyone towing
anything big, two people had to get pulled ut by heavybmachines when thier boats/trailers bogged down....

...anyone got some pedal kayaks these folks can borrow--that'd be the style now they're on the Cortez side!! 
...edit,,,just remembered there's some kayak rentals along bajia conception!
...enjoy Mulege and have fun,be 'careful' at Bajia Conception*
....*...it's called that for a reason!!!

I would love to pedal kayak dow the coast, that was an idea of mine to make the adventure a bit more adventurous! I was told the currents were tough,
but then, somis biking in the desert! The ONLY difficulty I could see would be thatnof securing the bikes and gear, but I guess, big enough kayak, no
worries....
Dont even go there with making baby talk!!!!!!!
