Sentri - type pass - one day use - any info ?
A friend awhile back (6-8mo.) was telling me about a pass he bought in the Rosarito Beach area. If I recall he said the cost was about 10 dollars. And
was purchased at a local restaurant in the area. Does anyone have any knowledge or info on this one day use type pass. I believe you use the same
lane in San Ysidro as the Sentri, go by that shack or right/east side of entry lines.
thanks

Was it a a fast pass? (don't remember the exact name of the pass)
I got one at Ollie's Pizza and yes, it sends you to the Medical Line and only about a 10 minute wait. I recently was told the program is on hold and
there are no more passes at the moment. It was a program to encourage tourism.

It is called the Fast Pass. Many hotels/restaurants had them to give out to clients that spent a certain amount of money at their establishments. Its
a single use pass to use the medical services lane at the Tijuana crossing (where the kiosk is). Unfortunately, some businesses started trying to make
a buck off the Fast Passes, so they shut the program down for the time being. I was told a restaurant in Rosarito tried to sell one for $50 and they
got busted.
Here is a little breakdown of the different ways to get across the border faster than the regular lanes: http://www.bajabound.com/before/permits/fastbordercrossing.p...

I thought this program was recently sht-canned because they found some of the businesses, or whatever, selling the passes.

I've been down to Ensenada a couple times this month,
there was a mention in the Baja Times, I believe by a
resaturant as to giving out the Fast Pass, but as
posted prabably old info, wouldn't matter to me though,
the Taco stands and cheap campgrounds I
patronize I doubt would have them
