He is probably going there to save money and for the adventure. I have never been to Hawaii, and refuse to pay the large amount of $$$ - couples
usually spend $8K - $12K to stay in places like Hawaii.

If you like to camp and drink.... get your burro down to Playa Coyote. Bring your food and drinks and ice with you. Pick out a palapa and relax by
the water there.
The SAME boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It's about what you are made of NOT the circumstance.

I've traveled Dec 24 & 25 and never had a problem getting gas. Also, if you're looking at the Sea of Cortez side, most locations north of Bahia
Conception could be chilly. Not always but the chances increase.

a little note about Christmas season gas...there are often shortages and waits for gas as so many more people are traveling, some stations DO RUN
OUT... so we always make sure to stock up extra gas for those days. Once in Guerrero Negro they ran out on Dec.30 for 2 day so people couldnt get home
for new years...it was crazy with a long long line and they had vendors selling food and drinks all along it.

If you have the right provisions and lve camping...I think a honeymoon on a remote beach in Baja is about as good as it gets. It would be better now
when the ocean and breezes are warm ... maybe jump start the date a bit ??? LOL

My wife gets 2 weeks paid off over Christmas so its really the best time to go for us. Grew up in Hawaii and been back and forth 100's of times but
have never done this before! Plus going to Baja over Christmas will cost us a fraction of what it would cost to go to Hawaii over Christmas.
Looking very forward to the adventure ahead of us.

Me too w/husband #1 in 1971 below Ensenada. We stayed at my in-law's place at El Faro. Drove down to the blow hole..nothing there but rocks &
water. I hear it's built up a bit since then.
Camping in Baja is perfect for a Honeymoon. So many parallels to draw about flexibility, compromise, expectations, adaptability...it's
endless...you'll have the time of your life!
Mom always told me to be different - Now she says...Not THAT different
