Road to Scorpion Bay
Hey everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has heard about the conditions on the road heading south from San Ignacio to Scorpion Bay (San Juanico). Has anyone driven
this road lately? How's it looking?
Thanks for any news!

We drove it the end of July and the first 18 or so KM was fine and it went right straight to hell from there. Sand pits in the construction areas
were un-real.
All the way to the salt flats. A long way.

Hey Mula,
Hmmm...sounds like a pain. One of my friends is thinking about driving down from SD, but was wondering about the roads after rain etc. I have to
drive up this week or so, and was thinking about meeting them. You get stuck at all in the sand? What we were you guys driving???

It is a pain.
We had 1 F 250 4X4 diesel and had horse trailer to boot with animals.
And 1 F 350 without 4X4 with a horse trailer and animals.
The 350 didn't get stuck, but got into slick and couldn't move, so the 250 went around to pull him out and went into a huge hole. Took 4 hours to get
someone with gumption and savy to pull us out.
After the rains, I imagine it is slick as snot in lots of places.

Baja California can be a heaven or hell experience - often the determining factor is your AWARENESS in the moment.
