My annual summer Loreto restaurant question.

Other than Augie's and Islas, are there any air-conditioned restaurants that are open?
Thanks

The Mediteranio is closed, but Papagayos is open serving staples from the Mediteranio's menu. There is a small room - 5 tables maybe - inside with A/C.

Blanca......The restaurant at La Mision is one of the best in the Loreto, in my opinion, and in Aug/Sept the A/C is icing on the cake.

Thanks backninedad. I had thought Domingos was not a/ced. Have not been there for years. That is where we will go. Always liked it.

Blanca, we have had many enjoyable dinners at the Mission hotel restaurant but have not been back for almost a year so I have no current comments. I think the restaurant itself is called Los Olivos. The service was very good which ranks high with us. We always ordered apps, salads, entrees and desserts with c-cktails and wine and were never disappointed. Its a bit pricey but for what we eat and drink we have paid twice that in the states...without a coastal view. We only go to a restaurant for dinner two or three times a year and if that opportunity comes in Loreto we will probably go back to Los Olivos.

I should have stated that we are going out for lunch. I don't recall a lunch menu at the hotel restaurant but recall reading that Domingos is open for lunch.

Thank you Bill for the Papagayos tip.

now, is the Mediterraneo closed as in forever closed or just temporarily ? What happened ? I really enjoyed the few times we have eaten there.

The way I understand it, the restaurant may or may not reopen next year under current or new management.
