San Lucas Cove
Just got back from Loreto. Fiching was slow. Only a few yellows and lots of Cabrilla. However, comming into San Lucas Cove visiting Mr Hamel I saw
a truck load of yellows. They were reportedly gillnetting in very deep water.

I knew those yellers were living on borrowed time
Some have contended that the seamounts would prevent netters from setting around the traditional grounds. OH WELL!
Is there any enforcement officers in the SR/Mulege area? This is assuming, of course, that they are operating illegally.
BAMBOO! JR, WE NEED A BAMBOO FARM IN THE SANTA ROSALIA AREA!!!!

Costa Rica
Quepos Costa Rica....I was all ready to cash out,had a realtor set up to show us around and was ready to go when my wife nixed the deal
That little country has its act together.......20 30 % of the place is set aside for national parks ect.
They shoot gill netters.........Very eco minded people.
Nice thing about that country they actually like gringos, great tax set up for americans, more teachers than police..........Largest
american legion post outside the US.
And maybe the best fishing in the world.
Not sure if they shoot gill netters but you get the idea

Costa Rica....may be getting more of us from Baja....Looking for Corvina? Don't look in Estero de Coyote, or, now more appropriately, Estero de
Deserito....
Gill netted the Estero the entire month of March...small mesh, mayhem, insanity....a nursery at its finest..The first day, 4K lbs. of Corvina...Never
mind the by-catch slaughter of pompano, linguado, cabrilla (all small)..did it years ago and wiped out the snook population, said "they learned", no
more netting, yeah right..
.....will look into Costa Rica...Any info you can send baitcast, please....what are the possibilities of driving....no schedule, time not an issue...
Anything on beach fishing or rivers dumping in to the Pacific?????Zero regard for tomorrow here in Old Mexico...........Capt. George

Costa Rica
Capt. nice to hear from you again,I sent you a u2u but may have missed it up,let me know if you got it.
In the mean time I,ll look around and see if I can find some of the stuff.
Get on google write in costa Rica and you,ll find alot of info
costa rica fishing
costa rica real-estate
costa rica relocation.......and so on.
I got alot from the capital San Jose......Tourism Dept.
They have a 800 no. ask for a relocation packet.
The beach and inshore fishing must be in a another time zone...the mouths of rivers which are many are some of the best......variety fishing at
its best.
I have a friend who went down a few years back and nearly didn,t come home.
In the back of fishing mags look for CR fishing and tell for a broshure they all have 800 no.
