Netflix streaming now works in Baja and all of Mexico. I don't know if this is old news but it worked last weekend when we were down there.

I just tried Netflix too- working! I wonder if this means Netflix is allowing it or if this is just some temporary glitch?
Does anyone reading this thread have any experience using slingbox in Mexico? It'd be nice to watch home TV here.

Here is what I use
Slysoft cloning software - it rips dvd's and blu rays
1tb usb drive with movies stored on the drive in .iso format
Popcorn Hour C200, C300 or any of the units setup for bluray iso playback
rent or borrow from your friends, rip and watch pure digital enjoyment

Here is where I am now:
I connected the ROKU to our Telnor WiMax Router and did NOT get a VPN Router. Netflix works but it has different selections from what we left in El
Cajon. My tech channels work such as TWIT, Channel 9, Adam Curry and so on, so I am happy. So far the only channel that I have installed that dosn't
work is Crackle, a message comes up, 'Channel not available in your country'.

Yep, Netflix is a Mexico version and you will get different movies than the USA version
Someone asked if Slingbox works in Mexico, yes it does.

I realize this is an old thread, but if you have Windows 7 or Windows 8 and a Roku with wifi, you can share your laptop/desktop VPN connection.
I blogged the details here:
Access Netflix and Hulu from outside the US: make your Windows 7 computer a Wifi hotspot that shares a VPN outbound connection
http://blog.ehuna.org/2011/11/access_netflix_and_hulu_from_o...
It will save you the cost of an extra router with the custom tomato or dd-wrt firmware.

We bought a Vizio Smart TV in the US with built-in Roku and it DOES NOT work in BCS. We called Vizio from Loreto and were told the built-in computer
parts for Roku/Mexico in Smart TVs are different between the two countries, and that we had to buy a Smart TV in Mexico. We went to look at one in
Constitucion and they are more than twice the price than in the US. No thanks.
