Mexican Auto Insurance - 6 months?
Is there a current list of recommended insurance companies for 6-12 month policies. I'm looking for a reputable company, not the cheapest legal
insurance.
I only need insurance from December to March.
Thanks
Scott

Wow
I guess I shouldn't be surprised by the snarky comments. Just because someone advertises on a website doesnt mean they are the best choice. But thanks
for pointing out the advertisement.

Are there any companies that offer full coverage for vehicles older than 15 years? I'm driving a 1985 Volkswagen Westfalia with a market value of
about 20,000 US Dollars.

NEVER MIND.....
I tried to help. Sorry you thought I'm "snarky". So I've deleted my "snarky" web sites above.
F.Y.I. "NEWBIE".....Many of us on this web site use Baja Bound Ins. They've also been personally screened by Doug Means " Baja Nomad " himself.

Actually it was the 'snarky' emoticons implying the obvious advertisement.
Thanks for the welcome.

Seriously
Maybe you should head over to the following sites to increase your market knowledge.
GoWesty
The Samba
Now add a brand new Subaru EJ25 engine conversion.
So again thanks for your input. It has been very helpful.

I have used Lewis and Lewis for years, mostly to protect myself if I caused an accident or were accused of being in the wrong. I did total a car on
Hwy 1 once (claims person in the town I was near spoke no English but was prompt, efficient, and we managed. forunately I walked away, which was
good. I got maybe $25 for $200 worth of clinic check up but I didn't argue about that) I did eventually get paid what my USA State Farm company
said they would have paid BUT it took a lot of wrangling. first they offered a low ball amount, much less than the insured value and NOT Kelly Blue
Book but an amalgam of three or four valuation sites most of which I had never heard of. then they disputed the odometer reading (which proved the
light use) saying I must have turned it back. fortunately I had taken photos in and out, including the odometer, with dates, about three months
before the accident.
so...you can put whatever value you want on the vehicle, but you will be paid what they determine it was worth. so..caution and ask tons of questions
and get stuff in writing and take photos!
I still use L&L, mostly because I'm too lazy to change and am hoping that lightening doesn't strike twice...
reality\'s never been of much use out here...

I have had annual policies purchased from Discover Baja Travel Club and BajaBound.com over the years. They both use the same insurance company, so
compare prices. They are also both members here, but Discover Baja rarely posts and BajaGeoff of BajaBound.com posts often. BajaBound.com also
supports this web site... So check them both out. Discover Baja offers a membership discount, so you do need to join their club. BajaBound provides
discounts to members of the Baja Good life Club. Both can provide online quotes, so just go to their web sites...

I got Qualitas insurance for the year for under $200 USD on my 98 4x4 4 cyl Tacoma that included full coverage, even theft. Got it from an insurance
agency in La Paz.
I hope Qualitas is a good company insuring company, don't really know for sure.

Geoff and his crew are great to work with and you can always talk to a "real" person. Been with them for about 8 years now, and anytime I have a
question, Geoff is there with the answer!!

Just got off the phone with Lewis & Lewis and they told me if I got an appraisal they would insure it for the amount of the appraisal.
