Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

For now we are just taking the Mex 1 straight to Cuarto Casas for 3 or 4 days and then to Coyote Cal's for a few more days. Been on dirt with the bike
before, not through wash boards and silt though.
On Mex 1, is it a straight shot without dirt or is there a few areas? I am also really considering a solo run down there, is that a good idea if I am
only going to Cuarto and Coyote's?
Also wondering about riding around the local areas after I arrive down there, hate these words, Sight Seeing, but I was wondering if that okay in
these areas or am I just asking for trouble while I am on the Harley?
.... Oh yeah, I am also getting a XR650 soon, wish list at least, Harley should be good for now though.
Thank you for the help guys, can wait to do this trip!

1. Don't let the Harley out of sight or out of reach.
2. Bring a large chain/cable and lock. Lock the bike to something solid and permanent.
3. Bring a tarp and take the bike into your room at night.
4. Wear a helmet.
PS: hopefully you don't have any of those loud obnoxious after market exhaust pipes. |

You'll be fine, go have fun! Both places are cool and you will have a great time. Solo is a great way to travel, if you are comfortable with yourself.
I have been known to run with scissors, by the way.

You will have more fun at Cals, when I rode my DL1000 down, staying there was a large group of European travelers. There is a kitchen you can use or
restaurants nearby, and you can go fishing close also.

The dirt road to Cuatro is one of the easiest and nicest dirt roads in Baja.
