It looks like 55F in Mulege...small winds...clear skies
...this report from a thousand miles north.

One of our Mexican friends in town thought it was exceptionally cold this year. However, I believe it to be the sameas every winter. But than, I love
the winter season here.

Over here, I think the days in Nov/Dec have been a bit cooler, but the nights (until about two weeks ago) have been very mild. This is due to a
combination of clouds that have made their way from the Pacific NW or, alternately, from the south.
In the last couple weeks, the air behind the Pacific cold fronts or high pressure over the Four Corners area has begun forcing some cooler air towards
us. Still, the lowest overnight low I have recorded is only 47 F. Last night we were back to relatively warm, moist air as this latest front (that had
some Pineapple Express air in it) produced an o'night low of only 62 F.
The next three nights might test new lows, though. Still, nothing threatening the 30s yet that we have seen the last couple winters.

Forty-seven point three at 6:18AM this morning, with wind gusts 14 mph out of the NNW.
This was supposed to be an El Nino year, warmer and wetter in the US west coast.
But no matter what, when properly outfitted with blankets and warm clothes ANYWHERE in Mexico just beats the tar out of anywhere in the USA IMHO.

I am sure it is in the 60's here too but with the wind which is really blowing right now, it is uncomfortably COLD. But I would not trade with
bajagypsy for even a second. and since I complained LOUDLY about the heat last summer ... I am only whimping kinda quietly about the cold.

Here in La Ribera, we don't do degree's, in the winter it's either balmy,
brisk, burrrrr brisk, breezy, or duct tape your damn hat on.
Summer is warm, or unpleasanty warm! We don't use the H word, as it
might bring a 200 mph wind storm.

Weather in Baja...no use guessing it.
From my Baja journal.
1983 Feb. Pta. Chivato.
Windy and freezing! Today was the 5th day of ice in the wash basin at Casa Grande, Pta. Chivato. Campers are being sandblasted on the beach with
heavy NNE winds..gusts to 60mph. Lost our solar hot water panels from Casa Grande roof. Ferry service out for a while due to high waves.
Saw snow on Three Virgins and talked to a store owner in Santa Rosalia who told me he had not seen snow up there since 1949.
Manuel’s farms and others in the Mulege valley suffered frozen crops.…losses are great.
Old Doc says, Don't knock the weather; nine-tenths of the people couldn't start a conversation if it didn't change once in a while.

Bodie, CA
It's interesting to see the high/low US weather readings in the paper. Many times it is Death Valley/Bodie.
Bodie's low forecast today is -13 F.
