Ensenada Real Estate people?
Can anyone recommend someone or a company that knows the area and is trustworthy?
Considering relocating north in a casa coast or wine country depending on cost and security.

There are two types of RE folks in the area.....those that cater to the national client and those catering to the expat.
Those out in the valley would be the former and their hard earned reputation is less than stellar.
Maybe be more specific in what you want....area...lease land or own...etc...... for best results here on the board.

I agree.
Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

If you are considering moving to ether of these places, RENT FIRST. By being there you'll get to know the RE people that are good and which are not.
By living there you'll be exposed to deals that you would never know about. You should also get a lawyer to help you out. You'll hear about those guys
as well.

Hey, brenick...
You need to come by and spend some time, 3-5 days, in the area.
Just look for yourself. You'll see lots of for sale signs.
The RE people are just looking out for their commissions and not necessarily in the customer's best interest.
They have a way of making EVERYTHING sound like a bargain!
I have visited the area many times, and have seen lots of places up for sale.
I love wines, but my thing is the beach!

Dennis' place is very nice, you should give it a look see. With a fabulous view of Ensenada Bay...with security guards at night, unlike many
unsecured areas.

He forgot to mention the newly built guesthouse with a large picture window and ocean view and adjacent rooms to his garage, which could easily be
converted into a bedroom and kitchen area. Not to mention the "neighborhood watch" network of gringos in the area.

Yeah...it is Deno. Home Sweet Home.
That's most of it anyway. Since I shot those fotos, I've added another free standing room where the cement mixer is standing. I just keep
building.....or did until I took the hit.

That's one of the best location for a home..... I've ever seen in Baja :-) GREAT looking home too....I assumed that you lived in a crowded HOA that
was surrounded by tall walls and guard towers

Know about a house right at waters edge in Rancho Packard, owned and built by a contractor who is getting on in age, wants $125K.....nobody in front
of you, away from the road, great Ensenada Bay views.......

Not in the development I'm in, but there are stables in the area. It's rural here and doesn't have the restrictions or bureaucracy to deal with when
building.
Jeeezo....what folks down south go through and have to pay to get various permits, ecology, environmental impact etc, is insane. None of that
here....as yet.

I do have, and always have had, a problem with Rancho Packard. Developed on a steep hillside, it suffers from gravity in so much that every house
there has a cesspool which leeches sewage into the ground. That's how they work. They don't have leech fields like septic systems only because space
won't permit that.
So...sewage permeates the ground everywhere in there and as with the number one rule for every plumber tobe aware of, that stuff flows downhill, it
does the same with all those cesspools and the lower houses are, of course, at the bottom of THAT hill.
Would you plant a garden there?
I wouldn't, but the view is nice.

That would be a good try if not for something called Capillary attraction. All of the soil on that hillside is susceptible to Ecoli infection, be it
below or off to the side.
Be sure and have your friend include this information in his classified ad. You know......full disclosure and all...........
